Principal’s Message

Dear Parents and Students:

Welcome back!  I am so excited to have many of you rejoining us back at the Pines Alternative School  for face-to-face learning and teaching, and to warmly welcome those of you who are learning via our online program. 

Our school and programs allow for tremendous flexibility in addition to high academic results.  Our programs are designed to offer a variety of learning options and choices to all Red Deer parents to ensure that every student has a place where they belong, and where they can find success. Our commitment is to help every student reach their full potential!

This is my sixth year as the Principal of the Alternative Programs and I am excited for the year ahead. I know there are many of you feeling anxious about getting back to school but the entire Alternative Program staff has worked hard over the summer putting plans into place to ensure that you are as safe as possible and to support you to the best of our ability. Things will look and feel different, but we are all still committed to ensuring that you receive the very best education while in our care. Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions, comments, concerns or suggestions.
